Fundraising is an essential part of maintaining the quality and value of a Catholic education for all our school students and families. It is vital that our school families, alumni, parishioners, and friends support our fundraising efforts in order to give our students the best education possible and further the educational ministry of our school and parish. You can help us by participating in and supporting those fundraising programs, fundraising events, and donation opportunities which best reflect your interests and how you would like to help. Our students thank you for your support!
Fundraising Programs
Our fundraising programs are designed to provide a convenient way to help support the school and provide added value to those who participate in them.
Scrip Program
- Scrip is similar to merchant gift certificates which the school purchases at a discount. When you buy scrip from the school at face value you can use it at a merchant just as you would any gift certificate and the school benefits from the discount it received from the merchant. Scrip has been a long standing and proven program (and is generally used by many public and private schools as a fundraising tool). You can download a complete list of participating retailers and a scrip order form through the links below. Scrip can be purchased through the School Office.
Note: School families can use the purchase of scrip to supplement Required Family Service Hours (see the Handbook for details).
e-Scrip - With e-Scrip you sign up for an account on the e-Scrip website and then register your credit cards. When you use one of those credit cards at any retailer participating in the program, like Vons, Pavilions or Safeway, the school gets a portion of the profits. You don′t need to buy any scrip and your purchases made with registered credit cards are automatically credited to the school. There is even an on-line mall that includes major retailers that provide special deals and bargains to e-Scrip subscribers which benefit the school. Use the links below to find out more about e-Scrip, establish an account, update your current account, or visit the e-Scrip on-line mall. Help us by registering your credit cards with e-Scrip and providing support by just making the purchases you would just make anyway - either at a store or on-line!
Note: When you register use Group ID No. 136559342 to make sure our school receives credit for your purchases. Please also verify that your registered merchant cards and your e-Scrip account remains active since they have renewal dates and require you to re-enroll yearly.
Ralph’s Rewards - Whenever your shop at a Ralph’s Grocery Store with your Ralph’s Reward Card, you can help our school by registering in the Ralph’s Rewards Card Community Contribution Program. The contribution to the school is made based on the amount of participation by various community groups each year and will vary. But your involvement is important because the more you buy, the more our school will benefit. So if you haven’t registered, go on-line and do it today!
Note: When you register use Organization No. 84286 to make sure our school receives credit for your purchases. Since the Ralph’s program begins in September each year, you must register for the program each year on or after Sept. 1 to have your purchases credited to the school.
SJE Marketplace - We've teamed-up with Foundation Revenue which has negotiated agreements with a number of well known on-line stores such as Office Depot, ProFlowers, Groupon, Staples, Red Envelope, Ink Store, Target, Travelocity, Best Buy, and others (and are adding more). Through these agreements, whenever you purchase through our Marketplace site, Foundation Revenue shares its profits with us on a 50/50 basis. There is no additional cost to the shopper or the school, and you get great on-line deals from the merchants participating in the program. And our school wins because of the special relationship Foundation Revenue has with the merchants. There is no need to register to shop - just go to our Marketplace by clicking on the link below and start shopping!
Box Tops for Education - We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week or more. Now turn those shopping trips into easy cash for our school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios, Hamburger Helper, and Kleenex, in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and send in the box tops to the school and each one is worth 10¢ to us. You can even sign-up for eBox Tops and get credit for purchases you make on-line through the BTFE Marketplace (please make sure to designate St. John Eudes School as recipient of the credit for your purchases!). Visit the Box Tops for Education Website to get more information about participating products, special coupons, how the program works, or to sign-up for eBox Tops.
Toner Cartridge Recycling - Don’t throw that old used toner cartridge away! Send it in to the School Office. We collect old cartridges for recycling - and besides helping the environment, we get money for turning in the toner cartidges. Getting rid of that used-up cartridge couldn’t be easier!
Upcoming Fundraising EventsBack to the Top
There are a number of fundraising events each year that are sponsored and conducted by the SJE Room Parents, PTSO, and other school or parish related organizations. These events are designed to raise funds and to also enhance the sense of community in our school and parish. Participating in these events does not only provide financial support for the school but is rewarding on a personal level for all those who get involved in conducting the events or being event supporters.
Summer Carnival - May 25-27, 2012 - “Come Celebrate the Spirit!” on Pentecost / Memorial Day Weekend by bringing the family to the SJE Summer Carnival! The carnival features fun rides, fantastic international food, exciting games, fabulous live entertainment and more! It′s a wonderful school and parish event that brings us all together to celebrate the coming summer season. School parents and students who volunteer to help at the carnival have a great experience and are sure to make new friends. And the carnival is highlighted by the Multi-Cultural Mass which celebrates the wonderful ethnic diversity in our parish. Funds raised by the carnival are used to support the educational ministry of the parish. Get the latest information about the Carnival on the Carnival website.
Note: School parents can receive parish service hour credit for volunteering to work at the the carnival (see the Handbook for details) - and all volunteers will get special discounts on ride wristbands and other benefits.
